Meeting of FUTURE ARMENIAN Development Fund with NGO Representatives
On November 2, 2022 the meeting between the FUTURE ARMENIAN Development Fund and non-governmental organizations took place, during which Artak Apitonyan, executive director of the Fund, presented the participants the 15 goals set by the FUTURE ARMENIAN initiative, and also referred to the 2023, to the concept of holding the first civil conference of the Armenian Future to be held on March 10-12,2023 emphasizing the active involvement of the participants of the meeting.
During the meeting, possible ways and formats of the Foundation's cooperation with non-governmental organizations were discussed in a question-and-answer format.
The representatives and decision makers of “Educational and Cultural Bridges” NGO took part on the meeting and will also participate on the Conference to be held on March 10-12, 2023.
The FUTURE ARMENIAN (https://futurearmenian.com/) is a public initiative launched by Armenians from around the world. In these times of great uncertainty and urgent challenges, this initiative seeks to foster a dialogue that would lead to a mutual understanding and a future vision for Armenia and Armenians. Given our long history of survival and revival, we bear a collective responsibility to envision the future of our nation and the path that would successfully lead us there. Considering the urgency of our challenges, we must do so now.
Since May 2021 The FUTURE ARMENIAN initiative has been able to assemble more than 100 000 signatories from around the world. They represent a segment of the global Armenian population (in Armenia and beyond) that self selectively agrees to engage in activities that aspire to secure Armenia’s future collectively through concentration on the 15 Goals. These signatories are what makes the Initiative exist, develop, and thrive.
More than 70 online and offline discussions and debates have been occurred since the launch of the initiative. In the coming months The FUTURE ARMENIAN initiatives will continue public and closed discussions to raise awareness and provide the opportunity to engage wider audiences and supporters.
The FUTURE ARMENIAN Initiative is not affiliated with any political group or organization. The FUTURE ARMENIAN Initiative is represented by The FUTURE ARMENIAN Development Foundation (Armenia). It is funded by Noubar Afeyan, Artur Alaverdyan, Richard Azarnia, Aram Bekchian, David Tavadian, Ruben Vardanyan. It strives to enrich and facilitate the public discourse about the future of Armenia and Armenians.
