Yerevan, Armenia

The International Volunteer Day is celebrated annually on 5th of December. This year number of organizations have partnered up with APY to celebrate the day in Armenia.

The event took place in Double Tree by Hilton Hotel. By celebrating International Volunteer Day, the organizers put attention on special tribute to local, diaspora and international volunteers serving in Armenia and recognize their efforts. At the same time, they encourage young people to offer their services as volunteers both at home and abroad.

The event was opened by an official speech of Grigor Yeritsyan, APY president, which was followed by opening concert and volunteer library.

The event was organized on the highest level; many young people took part in it and learnt about various organizations and volunteering opportunities.

Numerous local and international organizations took part in the event, such as: Peace Corps Armenia, Armenian Red Cross Society, Women’s Resource Centre, ArmActive youth centre, Society without Violence, AISEC, Children of Armenia Fund (COAF), Teach for Armenia and so on.

“Educational and Cultural Bridges” NGO was also invited by its partner organization APY.
