East West Dialogues - EVS Partnership Building Event

EVS/ESC Partnership Building training “East West Dialogues” took place in the Netherlands from 7-10 March, 2019. The project gathered youth leaders and workers from Eastern and Western European Countries.

The participants were from Armenia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Finland, France Reunion, Greece, Italy, Kosovo, Palestine, Portugal, Netherland, Romania, Spain, Poland and Albania.

East West Dialogues was a partnership building and EVS/ESC quality improvement training which aimed at setting up high quality EVS/ESC projects, in which partners from Western European, Eastern European and partner countries will cooperate.

During the 3 days training the leaders exchanged knowledge and best practices about international volunteering in the frame of Erasmus+, for sending, coordinating and hosting organizations. The leaders also had the opportunity to present to each other their NGOs and work that they do. The training focused on the latest developments in Erasmus+ funded international volunteering motilities, means for quality improvement, volunteer management and cooperation between partner organizations.

The hosting Dutch organization has prepared interesting visits for leaders such as visit to Anne Frank, they also got acquainted with local culture, cuisine and mentality.

Among the organisations there were very experienced NGOs in EVS sending, hosting and coordinating and new comers in EVS/ESC. The hosting organizations team – Eastpackers / Stichting UcDean from the Netherland – did their best to host the leaders. The host organization brought the NGO’s together to facilitate them in networking and developing new partnerships. The 3 working days went very interesting, intense and productive and with great plans to cooperate and work together in the future.
